Update: going onto 3 years, keloid free

My snug piercing fell out on its own without my knowing. Ever since, the feeling I thought felt like a "keloid stump" was actually just my snug piercing. The keloid has never resurfaced, I did not touch my ear since I removed my keloid the second time and it has healed beautifully in my opinion.

I said I'd wear the pressure earring, but I didn't. I wore it for 3 days max and I just got fed up with how it clutched my ear. My keloid was on the cartilage part that doesn't want to be crunched flat. I didn't keep up with the aloe vera application, I didn't get tea tree oil or any kind of oil at that. I didn;t do anything fancy. I carry on with my daily routines. I didn't pay my keloid free ear any special attention.

The ear is a normal ear. It's not sensitive, it's not sore when bumped or bent or slept on. I can say it feels as if I've never had a keloid on this ear. The only evidence it left is the scar that is faint but still there. I'm blessed that it hasn't resurfaced, but it did take the second time round for me to be where I am.

Will be back for a personal keloid history lesson. lol

  3. Hi. I tied a rubber band around my ear. It was tgere for about 3 or 4 days. It turned blue-ish in the beginning but went back to normal color. So I tied another band around it. I woke up the next day not feeling that great. I had a headache and was feeling nauseous (just wondering if that happens or it was just me). So I removed the rubber bands. Because I got discouraged that its not gonna work. Its swollen and there is a blister on top of it. It has become really sore too. Right now I have tied a string around it. But it doesn't hurt. Maybe I should tighten it? Or just put a rubber band around it? Also how long does it really take to fall off? And do I just use detol to clean it during the process and after it? Please write back to me. I am so worried that it might not work and the keloid won't go back to its original size.

  4. Hey! I’m not sure if she will respond but let me step in here. When you first tie the keloid if it’s too tight start by using a string instead of rubber band. Rubber band s are a lot more painful than strings.
It is also normal to have blisters on the keloid it means it’s dying. I suggest you wipe it off with some disinfectant and keep it clean so it doesn’t get infected.
The trick is not to be in a hurry to remove the keloid each day tie a string as tight as you can bear. It just means it will take longer to fall off. When you feel more brave, then opt for the rubber band however if you feel you can’t stand the pain, then reduce the band or stick to the string.

    1. Have you done this before?
In my experience you start with the rubberband. Once you go ahead with the string, and the keloid is blistering and dying, it's way too sore to go in with the rubberband since you need to pull and tug to get the rubberband even on. it's too late, there's an open wound... I know because I tried it.
Again, just in my experience, since this is my second time removing my keloid, my first one took a month ish to fall off and it grew back. This second one took over a week and I am still keloid free to this day.

  5. After going to the doctors getting steroid shots, getting surgery, and using mederma and silicone stuff. I was getting ready to accept it but then I saw this and got courage to try it. and I'm happy to report it hasn't came back. Best method. Thank you
